Creative Ways to Face Writer’s Block.
“Sometimes ideas stuck in the mind and don’t come out and this tells that your mind needs little rest or something else. If you give what it wants, the flow of ideas becomes easy again.”

Writer’s face, this problem a lot. Some writers freak out because of fear of no ideas. Understand that your mind needs rest and something else to do. This is very common for every writer in their life. So don’t get scared.
There are several ways you can beat the writer’s block. Even on the internet, you will find so many articles on this topic. However, I am sharing what worked for me and some are creative ways that I like and prefer to break writer’s block.
Few things to do before getting to know about the ways. The first thing is don’t sit in front of the blank screen waiting for the ideas. Don’t push yourself so hard to write as it makes you write what’s not interesting, mostly. Instead, you can move away from the screen and take a notepad or a book with a pen to note down your thoughts.
- Take a nap: After working longer, the mind gets tired and bored. Therefore, it requires rest. So take naps whenever possible and then continue writing.
- Read something new: You may be interested in reading something fiction or a self-help guide normally. But this time read something new. Doing something new helps your mind to have more attention. Read a funny story or read something sad or anything that’s new for you.
- Take a walk: Don’t sit in your chair looking at the blank screen. Instead, get up and go out for a walk. Prefer a place that is natural and full of trees where you get some fresh air. This stimulates your mind and gives more energy. Sometimes you get ideas while you walk that you can use for writing.
- Listen to your favourite music: Music works in many ways. Listen to your favourite music when you are out of ideas. This helps your mind become calm and happy. Then get to writing.
- Write what you love: Don’t choose some topic because it’s trending. Choose something that you wish to write. Follow your heart in this process. There won’t be a writer’s block if you write what you love.
- Change environment: Don’t just sit in a closed room. Move out and write on your smartphone. Choose a place that makes you feel good. Some authors write at regular places, where they feel good. This way they have fewer distractions and that keep them focussed.
- Change the tool: Normally, we use regular software for writing. But there are several tools you can use. Some tools are designed to eliminate distraction while writing. Therefore, experiment with different software for writing. This way you can feel anew and gain knowledge about different tools and get updated.
There may be many more ways, many of you used to break writer’s block. Comment your ways that work the best.
Happy writing…
