The 5 intelligent thieves
There lived a rich man in a village who is an innocent and kind man. He had great wealth, which he got from his father and grandfather. However, his innocence made him believe everyone blindly.
He gave money to people who spoke nicely to him, and they cheated on him, and so he lost all his money. Now he has to go beg to feed his family, but he doesn’t want to do so. He remembered a precious diamond he inherited from his grandfather. If he sells it, he can become rich again.
One day, he carried the diamond with him and walked towards a nearby city that was a few kilometers away. His wife told him to be careful and told him to take care of the diamond on his way.
He kept opening his bag and checked the diamond on his way. A group of five thieves found the diamond reflecting rays from the bag when the man opened his bag while checking it. The thieves decided to get hold of the diamond.
They made a plan to trick the man. They followed him and there came a path where there was no sign of any humans and on both sides, it’s a dense forest. Now they started executing their plan to get hold of the precious diamond.
All five thieves got separated and walked fast and walked opposite the man. The first thief walked opposite the man and looking at the bag, asked, with a scared face, “Why are you carrying a snake in that bag?”
A person was carrying a valuable thing and traveling and the thieves came to know it and they decided to trick him and get the valuable thing. The first one saw the valuable thing and said, Why are you carrying a snake? And ran away shouting, “save yourself.”
The innocent man was a little scared and walked forward and could see the only diamond in the bag. The innocent man ignored his words and thought, he was a fool. He continued his walk.
The second thief asked the innocent man what he was carrying. The innocent man showed him the valuable diamond and said that he inherited it from his grandfather. The second thief took it into his hand and shouted, “It’s not diamond. It’s a poisonous snake.” and ran away.
The innocent man was shocked and scared at the same time. With trembling feet, he continued walking and all his face was covered with sweat. Then the third thief came and shouted, “It’s a snake! Snake…!” and ran away.
The fourth thief shouted the same thing and ran away. The fifth saw the innocent man shivering and asked what had happened. The innocent man explained everything. The fifth thief asked him to show the diamond. The innocent man opened the bag and was scared to take the diamond out of the bag. The thief inserted his hand into the bag and shouted, “The snake bit me! Help me! Help me”.
The innocent man didn’t understand what to do and threw the bag there and ran to his village being scared. Then all the five thieves joined as a group and took the bag and walked to the city, to sell the diamond and make a fortune.
The innocent man reached his village and explained what had happened to his wife and the wife felt irritated and pity for the innocence of her husband. The innocent man went for menial work to feed his family and lived a poor life.
The innocent person cared about the judgment of those thieves and got fooled by their trickery and lost his valuable diamond, which could have fixed his problems.
The same things happen to us every day. We care about judgment from others every day, and we lose valuable things that make us better and help us become better in our lives. We lose our talents, resources, self-respect, wisdom, intelligence by believing what others tell about us is true.
We are all fooled by the trickery of people in society.
