When do Prayers work?
“Prayers work for people who believe in them and right prayers reform and build one’s life into a better one.”
How many of you believe in prayers? Do these prayers work? Did you ever experience the power of prayers in your life? Should you believe in praying?
Several questions hit human minds every day. We all hesitate in believing things new to us. Not everybody believes in prayers the same way. It may be because they connect praying to religion or god.
I think you don’t to believe prayers this way. You can pray to anything. You can pray to nature. You can pray the sun or the moon or whatever that is nourishing you and giving you the choice to live.
If your prayers are helping you in, giving you mental peace and hope, then keep praying every day. There are people who ignore praying. The prayers are like pep talks we give to yourself when necessary.
Ask people who believe in prayers. They tell you they work. Some of them may be like you who didn’t believe in prayers before. But some experience in their life may have changed their perception.
I even heard such stories who didn’t believe in prayers earlier. They lost hope, and the prayers gave them hope and confidence that things can change for the better.
For example, a father worried about his daughter’s health and he went to several hospitals and nothing worked and even doctors gave up. Their hope got shattered.
At this moment, someone told the father to pray for the girl’s health and he prayed every day and in two weeks he saw the daughter's health getting improved. This experience changed his perception and gave him hope and belief in prayers.
I don’t say all prayers will work. But it’s true that true prayers we do for the betterment of others will work for sure.
“Prayers work well when you pray for the betterment of others.”
From next time, pray for others and it not only may help others but improves your concern for others and makes you live an unconditional life.
