“People who react and grow hatred are weak even though they are in power. People who respond, tolerate and grow love is strong and powerful beings because they are free from all evil in their mind.”

When we have to speak about power, there are many perceptions. Some say power is all about influencing and controlling others. Some say it’s about fearing others and make them do what we want. Some say it's about getting success and having a lot of money. In all these conditions your power is based on others, which makes your power false.

The true power lies in us that doesn’t need anyone’s support. It is all yours that no one has any control. If you have such power, call yourself powerful or else don’t. If your power is based on other’s fears and weaknesses, you are a prisoner to their fears and weaknesses, which you are using to gain false power into the prison you are living in.

Whose minds are always disturbed with negative feelings, such as hatred for others, greedy, anger, worry, and overthinking, they are considered being powerless. They don’t have self-control and how can they have control over others?

“The true power comes from self-control and the false power comes from controlling others.”

The secret to becoming powerful is by having complete control over yourself. It’s difficult to control self than controlling others. This self-control is possible only by controlling your mind from controlling you. You need to control your emotions and it doesn’t matter whether they are good or bad.

First, you need to control your negative emotions as they control you and make you suffer every day. Then fill your mind with positive emotions that make you feel good.

“Controlling your negative emotions will free you from the mental prison you are living in. Filling the mind with positive emotions will help you stay away from this mental prison forever.”

The basic elements of self-control are:

  1. Ability to respond: We react to most of the situations in life. This is because of negative emotions that are controlling us. Instead, you have to stop reacting and understand the situation well and then respond properly. This gives you emotional control.
  2. Tolerance: In life, we all come across situations that test our patience. We may be tolerating the situations well at first. But we suddenly burst and lose patience and tolerance. This, maybe because of bad situations in our lives or wrong that keeps happening in our lives. Somehow because of situations, we give away our control to our mind and this mind is evil when it gains power. Don’t lose control and tolerate all the situations and that’s how you stand strong.
  3. Grow love: Love is a pure feeling that can help you break all negative emotions. Don’t grow love over a few things or few persons and this kind of love is selfish and conditional. Grow love over everything in this nature. This makes you away from hatred and kindness grows in your heart which is the seed of all beautiful emotions.

One who has all these qualities is called powerful, and Grow these powers if you want to become powerful and gain happiness and peace in life.
